Silver Hawks' Playoff Tickets To Go On Sale

South Bend, Indiana - Your 1st Half Midwest League Champion, South Bend Silver Hawks, have secured a spot in the 2013 Playoffs and will have the opportunity to battle for the Midwest League Championship. Your Silver Hawks will play the Eastern Division 2nd Half Wild Card winner in a best of three series in the opening round at the Cove beginning on Thursday, September 5th with a 7:05 first pitch. By winning the 1st Half Division title, your Silver Hawks secured home field advantage for the first round playoff series. The first game of the series will begin on Wednesday, September 4th, on the road, with the remaining two games being held at the Cove on the 5thand 6th, if necessary. As part of the excitement and cheering on the hometown team, the club has also decided to make the Thursday, Sept. 5th a Thirsty Thursday night with $1.00 beer and soda through the whole game.
"We are very excited about having the opportunity to battle for the Midwest League Title in our second year under the new ownership. Delivering a league championship would be very special for this community and the region. It is a great sports town and with this year's team we feel we have all the tools to compete for the title," stated Joe Hart, Silver Hawks team president.
The MWL Playoff tickets will be on sale for the general public August 1st starting at 10am. Tickets can be purchased through the South Bend Silver Hawks' Box office in person, or by calling 574-235-9988, and online at www.SilverHawks.com . The Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10am-5pm.
