TUCSON - The Tucson Sugar Skulls have officially re-signed defensive lineman Ronald Collins for the 2022-23 season.
DL Ronald Collins (6'2", 290, Prairie View A&M) was one of the standout performers for Tucson on the defensive side of the football during his rookie season in the IFL. He will enter his second season with the team and in the IFL in 2022-23.
He led the Sugar Skulls in tackles (41) and was tied for the most sacks with 5 total and ten tackles for loss. He appeared in 16 of 17 contests for the Skulls and provided reliability on their front line.
Collins played his college football at Prairie View A&M in Greater Houston, Texas, for four seasons. He appeared primarily at defensive tackle in 37 games (21 starts) for the Panthers, Collins recorded 120 total tackles (43 solo), 17 tackles-for-loss, 7.5 sacks, four quarterback hits, and two pass breakups over his college career.
