Sudbury Wolves News Release

According to this week's HOCKEY NEWS, the SUDBURY WOLVES are #1 in the Canadian Hockey league for supplying hockey players to the NHL for the past 25 years. In fact, the Sudbury Wolves rank 2nd overall in all of North America when including all USA Colleges in supplying hockey players to the NHL.

Wolves' President Blaine Smith says that this feature is a wonderful "recruiting piece" for our organization as well as excellent recognition for the City of Greater Sudbury. Smith adds, "There is absolutely no reason why any young aspiring hockey player should not want to come to Sudbury to pursue his dream of playing in the NHL. It also speaks volumes to the leadership that the Burgess Family have provided in owning and operating the Sudbury Wolves for the past 30 years."

With this year's record included, the Wolves have qualified for the play-offs in 20 of the past 25 years. This 80% success rate places us in the middle of the pack among the 20 team OHL league (see below).
