Saint John tied the game with a power play goal with four minutes left in the frame.
Salda fed a pass from the left point to into the right side of the slot, where Pare cranked a one-timer through the legs of Halifax goalie Alex Gravel.

The Brampton-native took a pass in the right circle and whistled a wrist shot over the blocker of Gravel for a short-side goal.
Zadina evened the score again more than two minutes later, taking a drop pass from Somppi in the left circle and rifling a low wrist shot that got past Williams' left leg.

Halifax turned the puck over near their blueline. Isiah Campbell threaded a pass from the left side into the right circle for Hardie. The winger drove the net and got tied up, but the puck rolled off his stick and past Gravel's right skate.
Gravel allowed four goals on 19 shots and was relieved by former Sea Dog Blade Mann-Dixon.
Hardie completed a second-period hat trick in the final minute.
Samuel Duchesne banked a pass up the right wing boards to Hardie at the Halifax blueline. He carried the puck into the right circle and ripped a wrist shot over the glove of Mann-Dixon for his first QMJHL three-goal game.
The Sea Dogs added two power play goals late in the third period.
On a two-man advantage, Hardie cut in from the left side and fed a pass to Pare in front of the crease. The second-year centre snapped a quick shot under Mann-Dixon to make it a 6-2 game.
Nearly two minutes later, on a 5-on-4 power play, Nathan Larose fired a shot from the left point that was deflected in the slot by Green past Mann-Dixon.
Williams earned the win in goal with 25 saves. Gravel was charged with the loss. Mann-Dixon made ten saves in relief.
