Wailuku, HI - The Edmonton Capitals lost their second straight game in Maui on Friday at Maehara Stadium as Na Koa Ikaika put double digits in the runs column en route to a 10-2 decision in game four of their nine-game series.

The Caps only managed to produce seven hits on Friday, and five of them came from two players, as centre fielder Jamie McGraw and shortstop Rex Rundgren led the way on offence. McGraw went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored, while Rundgren was 2-for-3. Right fielder Todd Linden and pinch hitter Matt Rogelstad drove in the team's two runs.

Starting pitcher Lou Pote had a rough outing, tossing 4.2 innings and surrendering nine earned runs on 13 hits while striking out six Maui batters. David Davidson and Justin Mace worked the remainder of the game and combined to give up one run on three hits. Shortstop Pascual DelReal did a big chunk of Maui's damage, going 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and two runs scored, while Ryan Page threw a complete game on the mound.

The Caps record drops to 38-27 on the North American League season and they fall 3.5 games back of the Calgary Vipers for first place in the North Division standings. Edmonton and Maui square off in the fifth game of their lengthy series on Saturday night at 10:35 p.m. MT.

The Caps eventually make their return home to Edmonton on Friday, August 12 to open a six-game series against Jose Canseco and the Yuma Scorpions. The series opener is another Fireworks Friday presented by 92.5 JOE FM.
