Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce dropped a 111-87 decision to the Oklahoma City Blue on Sunday afternoon at the Sanford Pentagon. The loss officially eliminated the Skyforce (14-19) from playoff contention.
Miami HEAT two-way player Javonte Smart led Sioux Falls in scoring for the 10th time this season, as he had 22 points on 8-20 FGA and five rebounds.
Micah Potter (16 points on 4-12 FGA and 13 rebounds) posted back-to-back double doubles for the second time in the last six games.
Zavier Simpson and Rob Edwards combined for 53 points on 18-37 FGA and 22 rebounds for Oklahoma City (15-18). Justin Jaworski added 17 points on 5-8 3PA off the bench for the Blue.
Brandon Knight led the Skyforce off the bench with 15 points and three rebounds. Miami HEAT two-way player Mychal Mulder had six points, six rebounds and six assists in the loss.
Sioux Falls travels west to face the South Bay Lakers to finish the 2021-22 season on Thursday and Saturday, with tip-off slated for 9:00 PM CST on Thursday. Oklahoma City will play the Iowa Wolves on Thursday at 7:00 PM CST.
