
Strong Pitching Propels Bees Past OKC

The Salt Lake Bees received a strong pitching performance on Friday night, as they edged the Oklahoma City Dodgers 2-1. Jaime Barria (2-1) started the game and worked six shutout innings, as he allowed just four hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Tyler Danish and James Hoyt each worked a scoreless inning. Tim Peterson gave up a run in the ninth , but struck out Matt Davidson on three pitches to end the game and record his fourth save.
Jack Mayfield had a hand in both Salt Lake runs. In the fifth inning, Drew Butera tripled and scored on a single to left by Mayfield to give the Bees a 1-0 lead. In the seventh, Mayfield tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jo Adell to make it 2-0. Mayfield, Kean Wong and Butera each had two hits to lead Salt Lake, which evens the series at one win apiece.
