FC Cincinnati News Release
Gabon native and FC Cincinnati's newest designated player Aaron Boupendza arrived in Cincinnati and had his first independent training session at Mercy Health Training Center Sunday morning.
The striker, who last played for Al-Shabab FC of the Saudi Pro League, arrived late Saturday evening and is set to begin working with the team this week.
"We're delighted to have Aaron join FC Cincinnati," said Chris Albright, FC Cincinnati General Manager at the time of his signing. "Beyond his talent, Aaron is also a player of strong personality and character who will fit in with the culture of our group."
Boupendza was most recently with the Gabonese national team, Les Pantherés, as they looked to qualify for the African Cup of Nations for the first time since 2019. Gabon would need one more win over Mauritania in September to qualify.
It is unclear at this point when Boupendza would be available for match action.
