Strike Force Training Camp Preview: Offensive Front

San Diego Strike Force News Release
SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have locked in seven offensive linemen including a two-way lineman as a part of their 2020 IFL preseason roster.
"We're excited about our group in the trenches and believe each one of them has the potential to be a starter in this league," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "Everything starts up front and we want to make a statement by being big and physical at the line of scrimmage. It'll be exciting to see this group develop and gel as the season progresses."
Jonte Berry (6-5, 320, Northwestern Oklahoma) rejoins San Diego for his second season in the IFL after seeing action in seven games for the Strike Force in 2019. One of the main players from Spring League with the job of protecting Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel. Collegiately he played three seasons with Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Emerald Faletuipapai (6-7, 350, Texas A&M-Commerce) joins San Diego for his first season in the IFL. Collegiately he played for Texas A&M University-Commerce appearing in eight games during the 2018 season.
James Hines (6-5, 325, Southern Oregon) comes to San Diego for his first season in the IFL after catching the coach's eyes at an open workout. He was a stand out left tackle for Southern Oregon University as a two-year starter and was voted to the All-Frontier Conference second team during his senior season in 2018.
Ty McCulley (6-5, 308, Colorado State-Pueblo) enters his first season in the IFL after an invite to the Washington-Redskins Rookie Mini-Camp in 2018. Collegiately he played for Colorado State-Pueblo starting on the offensive line in all 51 appearances as a ThunderWolf. He was named All-American First Team and All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selection as a senior, helping the ThunderWolves to a 93 record and a spot in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
Melvin Owens (6-4, 330, Mississippi Valley State) comes to San Diego for his second season in the IFL after spending the 2019 campaign with the Sioux Fall Storm. Owens secured a spot on the football roster at Mississippi Valley State University from 2015-2018 where he had 22 career starts.
D.J. Park (6-3, 325, University of South Carolina) joins San Diego for his first season in the IFL after spending a season with the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts during the 2018 season. Collegiately he saw action in 44 games at the University of South Carolina and was awarded the Everyday Effort Award during his redshirt sophomore season.
Trevin Wallace (6-6, 315, Mississippi Valley State) returns to the IFL after spending time with the Nebraska Danger. Collegiately he played in 17 games over two seasons with the Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils.
In addition, the Strike Force have resigned two-way lineman Zian Jones, who is expected to takes reps on both the offensive and defensive lines during training camp.
Jones (6-4, 311, Syracuse University) rejoins the Strike Force lineup having appeared in 12 games with a total of nine tackles during the 2019 season. In 2018 he appeared in five games and recorded eight tackles for the Green Bay Blizzard. Collegiately he played for Syracuse University Orange where he appeared in 25 games over two season and recorded 23 total tackles.
The Strike Force's training camp kicked off February 22 at Pala Casino. Season, group, single game and suite tickets are currently on sale in anticipation of the team's 2020 home opener on Saturday, March 14 against the Cedar Rapids River Kings at Pechanga Arena San Diego with a 6:05 p.m. PT kickoff.
