Strike Force Sign Rudy Johnson
SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have signed quarterback Rudy Johnson to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.
Johnson (6-1, 205, Winston-Salem State University) joins San Diego for his first season as of member of the IFL. In 2018, he spent time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League as a defensive back. Before the CFL, he played for the Dodge City Law of the Champions Indoor League where he finished the 2017 season with 44 passing touchdowns on 2,583 passing yards. He was ranked first in the league with a 66 percent completion rate and second in passer efficiency (164.6).
"Rudy is a tremendous athlete that has proven he is capable both as a quarterback and a skill player," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're looking forward to adding Rudy's experience and professionalism. He's made it clear that he has unfinished business and we expect him to elevate the competition in training camp right out of the gate."
Prior to his indoor football career, Johnson played collegiately with the Winston-Salem State University Rams. He finished his career with 3,602 passing yards and 34 touchdowns. He earned 1st Team All-Conference and All Conference quarterback. Originally from San Diego, Rudy attended Horizon Senior High School. He continues to reside in the area and works professionally as a realtor.
