SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have signed quarterback Michael Carrillo to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.

Carrillo (5-10, 200, San Jose State University) joins San Diego for his first season as a member of the Indoor Football League. The local San Diegan played his prep career at Christian High School in El Cajon, California where he threw for 4,226 yards and 51 touchdowns during his two seasons as a starter.

"Michael's throwing mechanics, footwork, and mental approach to the game is in an elite class," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "He showed us at the open workout he attended that he can really spin it and throw accurate, well-timed passes. We're excited to see him compete in training camp."

Carrillo began his collegiate career at Grossmont College (2014-2015) where he threw for 2,387 yards and 10 touchdowns as a freshman and earned Second-Team All-Southern League honors. In his second season, he recorded 1,157 yards and six scores through the air. He was ranked 15th in the state with passing yards per game.

From Grossmont College, he made his way to San Jose State University (2016-2018). He was named to San Jose State University Dean's List and was also received a 2018 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar Award as one of the top five male student-athletes based on cumulative grade-point average.

During his prep career at Christian High School, Carrillo was also honored as a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.
