SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have signed defensive back Micah Eugene Jr. to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.

Eugene (5-11, 190, Southeastern Louisiana University) joins San Diego for his first season as a member of the second season as a member of the IFL. Last season with the Tucson Sugar Skulls, he appeared in 13 games and recorded 81 total tackles (ranked 5th in IFL) and eight pass breakups. Micah was also named the IFL Week 13 Defensive Player of the Week after totaling seven tackles, one interception, two tackles for loss, and four pass breakups against the Bismarck Bucks.

"Micah is a downhill player in the secondary," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're looking forward to adding his physicality to our defensive backfield and continue to develop in his second IFL season."

Before his career in the IFL, Micah completed his collegiate career at Southeastern Louisiana University where he recorded 65 tackles (45 solos), a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. He was also named to the honorable mention All-Southland Conference list. Prior to SLU, the Louisiana native attended Louisiana State University where he saw action in 25 games and recorded 62 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and an interception.

Micah attended Acadiana High School in his hometown Layfette, Louisiana. He earned All-State and All-District 3-5A performer his senior year and carried his team to the state championship.
