SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have signed offensive lineman Melvin Owens to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.
Owens (6-4, 330, Mississippi Valley State University) joins San Diego for his first season as a member of the Strike Force. He entered his rookie year in professional football with the Sioux Falls Storm during the 2019 IFL season.
"Melvin is a big and physical offensive lineman that loves his work in the trenches," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "Beyond his physical attributes, he's a team guy and works just as hard off the field to elevate his teammates and get involved in the community. We're looking forward to seeing him compete in training camp."
Owens secured a spot on the football roster at Mississippi Valley State University from 2015-2018. The Alabama native had 22 career starts during his time at MVSU. He played his prep career at Thompson High School and graduated in the class of 2015.
