Strike Force Sign Marques "Hoodie" Rodgers to Roster

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The San Diego Strike Force have signed indoor football veteran wide receiver Marques "Hoodie" Rodgers to its 2022 Indoor Football League roster.
Now in his fifth year with the IFL, Rodgers, 5'10", 180 pounds is an original Strike Force player from 2019. He most recently played for the Frisco Fighters in 2021.
"We just got an early holiday gift in signing Hoodie. He is the ultimate 'swiss army knife' in that he can do it all as an elite kick returner and wide receiver. Marques brings tremendous energy to the entire arena every time he steps on the field. He is a spark plug on offense and a leader on special teams," said Todd Durkin, general manager for the Strike Force.
Rodgers began his IFL career with Sioux Falls and then ran his way into the league history books with the Strike Force. He was named Special Teams Player of the Year and was also named First Team All-IFL Kick Returner and Second Team All-IFL Wide Receiver.
With the Frisco Fighters, he was fifth in the league in all-purpose yards with 1,159 and third in all-purpose yards per game with 105.4. He had three 100+ yard kick return games (almost a fourth against Sioux Falls in July with 96), including against Duke City in the season opener when had over 200 all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns.
"I'm looking forward to playing closer to home and coming back to a team and fans who know me. Having a relationship with them is the number one thing I like to do in this league and as a professional. Sharing my IFL experience will take me to the next level and build on my leadership," said Rodgers.
The 2022 season kicks off on March 21 away against the Bay Area Panthers; the home opener is March 28 against the Arizona Rattlers. For tickets and more information: sdstrikeforce.com.
