SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have signed defensive back Jarmaine Doubs Jr. to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.
Doubs (5-10, 185, Southern Utah University) joins San Diego for his first season as a member of the Strike Force and the Indoor Football League.
"Jarmaine's anticipation of routes and football instincts really jumped out to us on film," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're looking forward to seeing him compete in training camp and transition his natural outdoor abilities to the indoor game."
Doubs began his colligate football career at West Los Angeles College, right in the heart of his hometown, where he led the team with 41 tackles and three interceptions. He then transferred to Southern Utah University and appeared in seven games his junior year, finishing with 34 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and four pass breakups with five pass deflections. The highlight of his season was ending the Portland State game (9/24/16) on a pick-six that secured the win for the Thunderbirds and set a new school record for the longest interception returned for a touchdown (98 yards). During his last season at SUU, he played in 12 games (started 11) and tallied 47 tackles, four interceptions, and a touchdown as the Thunderbirds went on to be crowned the 2017 Big Sky Conference Champions and earn a FCS Playoff berth.
