SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have re-signed defensive back Omar Cook to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.

Cook (5-11, 105, Southern University) rejoins San Diego for his second season. Omar led the Strike Force with a career-high 73 tackles last season (ranked 9th in the IFL) while also adding a team-high 12 pass breakups (ranked 2nd in IFL) and one interception

"Omar was a big part of our defensive secondary last season and the most consistent contributor we had," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're looking forward to having his experience back in 2020."

Cook made his way to the Strike Force from the IFL's Nebraska Danger and Billings Wolves. The California native played collegiately at Southern University, starting all 13 games including the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship. Before ending his collegiate career, Cook was invited to play in the 2014 FCS National Bowl All-Star game where he started as the defensive back.
