Strike Force 2020 Season Roster Update

San Diego Strike Force News Release
SAN DIEGO, California - The San Diego Strike Force have locked in three linebackers in prep for the 2020 IFL Season. D'Vonta Derricot and Markese Jackson will take reps as mac-linebackers while Tyrell Williams will be competing as a jack-linebacker and defensive back.
"We have some serious athletes coming in to compete at our linebacker positions that have the ability to cover ground in a hurry and want to deliver a blow to the ball carrier each and every play," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're excited to see the competition in training camp behind a talented and experienced defensive front."
D'Vonta Derricot (6-1, 230, Arkansas Tech University) joins San Diego for his first season in the IFL. The Virginia native started his collegiate career at Garden City Community College where he was nationally ranked No. 3 by ESPN for outside linebackers and named 2013 All-Jayhawk Conference performer. He transferred to Eastern Kentucky where he played one season recording 29 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, four QB hurries, and four pass breakups. Ending his career at Arkansas Tech, he saw action in 10 games recording 98 total tackles (49 solos) with six tackles for loss, two sacks, five pass breakups, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries earning himself conference defensive player of the week.
Markese Jackson (6-1, 224, Southern Illinois University) will also enter his first IFL season. As a Salukis, he saw action in a total of 31 games with 165 (65 solos) total tackles. In 2015 and 2016 he was ranked third on the team in total tackles. During the 2016 season, he was also ranked seventh in the Missouri Valley Football Conference in tackles per game with 8.9. He also ranked fifth on the team with 6.5 tackles for loss and third on the team in 2017 with six tackles for loss.
Tyrell Robinson (6-4, 230, Fresno State University) enters his first season in the IFL after spending time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League and the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. He is a San Diego native returning home after a collegiate career with the University of Oregon where he saw action in 9 games ending with 12 tackles (six solos) before finishing with Fresno State University.
The Strike Force's training camp will kick off February 22. Details and official team schedules, including fan events, will be released in the coming week. Season and group tickets are currently on sale in anticipation of the team's 2020 home opener on Saturday, March 14 against the Cedar Rapids River Kings at Pechanga Arena San Diego with a 6:05 p.m. PT kickoff.
