Spokane, Wash. - The Kelowna Rockets visited Spokane on Sunday for the Les Schwab Tires Special Olympics Night and Avista 'Way To Save' Poster Series Giveaway. Special Olympians from throughout the state of Washington were in attendance and honored during pre-game and both intermission.

On the ice it was a busy first period featuring five goals and three penalties. Gojsic opened the scoring for the Rockets just 1:24 into the game with assists from Caden Price and Tij Iginla.

Carter Streek claimed Spokane's first goal of the frame, scoring unassisted at 11:50.

Streek picked up the loose puck in the attacking zone, drifted centrally and buried it into the top right corner with ferocity. It was his 4th of the season.

The flurry of goals would continue as Rasmus Ekström would find the net for the 10th time this season less than a minute later.

Ekström attacked the net on a 2-on-1 and fired a shot before clipping the rebound into the back of the goal. Cheveldayoff and Feist with the assists on the play.

Tij Iginla would score again practically from the faceoff with another assist from Wightman as well as Rocak just 10 seconds after the Spokane goal.

The third period would begin with a bang as Brayden Crampton crashed into the net knocking it off it's mooring just 17 seconds into the period. After a review it was determined that the puck crossed the line before he did, and the game was tied at 3 all of a sudden. For Crampton it was his 6th of the year, and came on a power play that carried over from the second period. Cooper Michaluk (!) recorded the lone assist on the play for his first point of the season.

Berkly Catton found the net next with a nifty shot near post at 9:21 in the second.

Chase Bertholet and Conner Conner Roulette combined for the assists.

With that goal, Berkly Catton becomes the 4th highest scoring 17-year-old in Spokane Chiefs history (35-42-77), passing Jaret-Anderson Dolan (39-37-76). The Saskatoon native trails only Pat Falloon (60-64-124), Ray Whitney (57-56-113), and Travis Green (33-53-86). After a late scoring change, Bertholet was added to the assist line along with Roulette.

Coco Armstrong added his 5th career goal at 19:04 with an assist from Owen Martin.

Armstrong drove the right wing and fired on net before putting home his own rebound.

Gojsic scored just 16 seconds later for his third of the night and 13th of the season. Cristall and Price with the assists.

Spokane came out in the third period with another quick-fire goal. Conner Roulette scored his 32nd of the season with Catton and Bertholet registering assists on the play.

Catton held onto the puck, sauced it across the crease to Roulette who deked the goaltender and finished with a smooth backhand.

Streek added a second goal at the 9:45 mark and the Chiefs defense held on the rest of the way to emerge victorious 8-5.

The Chiefs top forward line dominated once again, recording three goals and six assists. Catton, Bertholet, and Roulette all finished the game with a +3.
