York Revolution News Release
Tuesday's near, 80-degree temperatures had a lot of fans thinking ahead to spring and specifically, to the inaugural season of York Revolution Baseball. Throughout the warm and sunny day, many interested onlookers surveyed the construction site of Sovereign Bank Stadium, the future home of the Revolution. However, one particular passerby had a rather strange encounter and sighting.
As the passerby stopped to take a photo of the ballpark, something mysterious stepped into her view. However, just as quickly as the unidentified object appeared... it was gone.
"I got out of my car to take a picture of the ballpark and suddenly, without warning, this thing ran in front of my camera just as I snapped the picture," she said.
The local resident who took the picture prefers to remain anonymous, but said she can't wait for baseball to return to York. She also added that the "visitor" didn't frighten her at all and appeared to be very happy to be around the ballpark. When she tried to talk to him, he quickly vanished.
Members of the Revolution front office were not available for comment. However, according to the team's website, there will be a special event to introduce their mascot this Saturday at the DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre. There is no word yet on whether Tuesday's sighting is in anyway related to the event on Saturday, but interested parties - especially kids - are encouraged to call 717-801-4494 to reserve tickets and find out for themselves!
