Tri-City Storm News Release
Team Notes
- Tri-City is 5th in the USHL standings, 9 points behind the Omaha Lancers
- The Storm is 10 points ahead of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, currently held by Lincoln.
- The three games this weekend are against teams ranked 13th, 15th, and 16th in the league standings and will be a good opportunity for Tri-City to continue to build points in the standings
- The Storm power play is 12th in the USHL at 16.4% and the penalty kill is ranked 2nd at 86.0% on the season
- Tri-City is (4-6) in the last 10 games, but is currently on a three game winning streak
- The three game winning streak for the Storm is the longest since early December
- Tri-City is now 15-1-1-1 when scoring first, 8-0 when leading after the 1st period, 18-0-1-0 when leading after the 2nd period, and 9-3-0-1 against teams from the Eastern Conference this season.
Individual Notes
- Ronnie Attard, Keaton Pehrson, Tyler Madden, and Connor McMenamin all scored in the Storm's last game, a 4-2 road win over Des Moines on Saturday night.
- Jake Barczewski recorded the win in goal for Tri-City. Barczewski replaced starting goaltender Filip Larsson who left the game in the 1st period with an apparent injury after giving up the game's first goal.
- Barczewski is now 8-5-1-1 with a 2.35 GAA and a .913 save percentage. His Goals Against Average of 2.35 is 8th best in the USHL.
- Larsson is 18-10 with a 1.65 GAA on the season. He has a .941 save percentage and has posted 7 shutouts this season. Larsson currently leads the USHL in GAA, SV%, & Shutouts.
- Tyler Madden scored the Game Winning Goal in the 3rd period on Saturday in the Storm's 4-2 win over Des Moines. The goal from Madden was his first in over a month, and he continues to be the Storm's leading scorer. Madden has scored a team leading 12 goals this season, and has added 13 assists totaling 25 points. Madden also leads all Storm players with 4 GWG's on the season.
- Bryan Yoon and Tyler Madden are tied for the team lead in points with 25 on the year. Yoon has the team lead in assists with 24.
- Filip Forsmark scored the game winning goal, and the game's only goal on Friday night in a 1-0 win over Cedar Rapids.
- Tri-City will play game #44 on Friday night in a 60 game regular season. Bryan Yoon, Tyler Ward, Johnny McDermott, Joey Cipollone, and Jack Summers have all played in all 43 games for the Storm this season.
- Ronnie Attard leads all USHL defenseman with 8 goals scored this season. Hugo Blixt is tied for 2nd in the USHL with 7.
- Blixt leads all USHL defenseman in power play goals scored with 5 on the year.
- Tyler Madden is tied for 5th in USHL rookie scoring with 25 points on the season.
- Madden leads all USHL rookies with 118 shots on goal.
- Madden is tied for the league lead in Game Winning Goals scored by rookies with 4 on the year.
- Bryan Yoon is 2nd in the USHL in assists by a defenseman with 24 on the season.
