Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY - Nebraska's Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League announced that on Sunday, November 2nd, the Storm hockey team will be playing an exhibition sled hockey game at the FirsTier Event Center starting at noon.
Sled hockey is a sport that follows the same concept as ice hockey for participants who have a disability. Players are seated on sleds with two blades and use two shortened hockey sticks with picks on the ends to propel them around the ice.
Storm hockey is participating in this exhibition event to show support and raise money for the local sled hockey club in Kearney.
Tickets for this event will be sold at the door for a 5-dollar goodwill donation. The money taken in will be donated to the Nebraska Sled Hockey Organization.
