IFL Sioux Falls Storm

Storm to Fight for United Conference Crown

June 21, 2013 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm's (10-4) 2013 season has been hot and cold. A season filled with highs, such as extending their 32 game home winning streak and boasting the best IFL defense throughout the year. Storm fans are used to the highs. The 2013 season, however, has brought some uncharacteristic lows for the Storm as well. Low points include losing four out of seven road games and an offense that seriously struggled periodically. But none of that matters now. The 2013 regular season is over. It's time for the playoffs. Every team now shares the same situation...win or go home. With only two rounds and four teams in the post-season, there are no push-overs. All four teams are only separated by one game.

The Storm will host the Cedar Rapids Titans this Saturday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05pm. On May 11th, Cedar Rapids hosted the Storm and handed them a 52-18 beat down. The 3rd worst loss in Storm history. However, as this season has gone, the Storm exacted revenge on the Titans in Sioux Falls. On May 25th, the Storm was victorious over the Titans by a score of 30-24.

With the parity that the IFL has shown this year, the post-season is bound to be edge-of-your-seat stuff. "There is no better place to be then at home as we set up to defend our IFL Trophy", stated Storm owner, Todd Tryon. "No matter what has happened this season, we are still here and ready to defend our home turf."

The Royal River Halftime show for Saturday night's will be the Famous Flying Dogs! Trainer Bill Camp and his six Frisbee Dogs have thrilled fans for many years. All six of the dogs featured are rescues or unwanted pets. The show should be great fun for all ages. The 2013 United Conference Championship is sponsored by Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital, the official healthcare provider of the Storm.

The Storm will host the Titans in the 2013 United Conference Championship. Kickoff is schedule for 7:05pm this Saturday night. Find more information at www.siouxfallsstorm.com. Tickets are still available at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office.
