Guelph Storm News Release
Although there was no home game to collect winter clothes for those in need in our community, Oosterveld Heating and Air Conditioning and our wonderful fans still made this year's Winter Wear drive a resounding success.
Lakeside HOPE House was able to serve 447 individuals and 137 families. Over 40% of these individuals were children and youth. Two hundred and forty seven jackets, 108 boots, 235 pairs of gloves, 351 hats, 563 pairs of socks, 58 snow pants and 78 scarves found new homes.
A profound thank you to Oosterveld and our amazing fans for showing love to our community, especially during this difficult time.
Lakeside HOPE House is a non-profit organization helping to overcome poverty in the Guelph area by providing tangible, compassionate assistance and care to those in need in the community. For more information, to volunteer or donate please visit www.lakesidehopehouse.ca or call (519) 265-4299.
