Storm take the lead over Rangers in Blood Donor Challenge

The Kitchener Rangers and the Guelph Storm have launched the Rangers vs. Storm Blood Donor Challenge - a friendly competition that encourages the team's staff, players, sponsors and fans to donate blood at their local Canadian Blood Services donor clinic.

Participants have been donating blood in the name of either team since the beginning of the season.

The Guelph Storm is in the lead with 130 donors.

The team with the most blood donations at the end of the regular season will be the Blood Donor Champion. The Rangers vs. Storm Blood Donor Challenge is made possible through the collaboration of the Kitchener Rangers, Guelph Storm, and Canadian Blood Services.

Regardless of who wins, the true ultimate champions are the patients across the country that will be able to rely on a stable blood supply whenever blood is needed.

Donation Process

The donation process is simple and takes only about 45 minutes to an hour. For information about eligibility, the blood donation process or to schedule an appointment call 1 888 2 DONATE / 1 888 236-6283, or visit www.blood.ca.

Register For the Challenge

Upon registration please inform the receptionist that you are donating for the Rangers vs. Storm Blood Donor Challenge. You will be asked information about yourself: name, address, and phone number. You will be given some important literature on blood donation to read. You must present a photo ID and proof of age at this time.
