Team Notes
Tri-City (43-10-2-1) currently has a 15 point lead in the Western Conference standings and an 11 point lead in the USHL league standings.
This year's Storm team is on pace to set a new team record for wins, points, and winning percentage.
The 2003-2004 Anderson Cup team won 43 games in a 60 game regular season. This year's Storm team has won 43 games with 6 games remaining in a 62 game regular season schedule.
Friday's game @ Sioux City will be the 3rd consecutive road game for the team. Tri-City is currently in a six game road stretch before returning home for the final two games of the regular season.
Friday could be a historic night for the organization, the team has the potential to win its 2nd Anderson Cup in organization history, and also set a new team record for wins in a single regular season.
Tri-City is currently on an eight game win streak, its longest of the season. With 2 wins this weekend, the Storm would tie the organization's record for longest win streak (10 games)
Playoff Notes
Tri-City is 2 points away from clinching a Western Conference Championship, a 1st Round Playoff Bye, and Home Ice Advantage throughout the Clark Cup Playoffs
The Top 2 Teams in each conference will receive a bye through the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs. The first round is a best of three series with top seed hosting all three games.
The remaining rounds will be a best of five series. The Storm's playoff opponent and home playoff dates will be announced following the conclusion of the regular season.
Watch Party Information
The Tri-City Storm will be hosting a watch party for all fans wishing to watch this weekend's games in Sioux City as the Tri-City Storm try to clinch the Anderson Cup (Regular Season Championship)
The watch party will be hosted at the Viaero Center for both of the Storm's games (Friday & Saturday)
Admission is free, doors will open at 6:30pm, patrons are asked to sit in Section R.
One concession stand will be open to serve beverage, light snacks, and pizza.
Individual Notes
Zac Jones' 4 assist game in the Storm's 4-3 OT win in Dubuque on Friday night tied a team record for most assists by one player in a single game.
His 4 assists also tied a team record for most points in a single game by a defenseman
Jones now has 40 assists on the season. He set a new team record for most assists in a single season (36) a few weeks ago and continues to build on that record.
Mike Koster (Pronounced KESS-ter) scored his 1st goal of the season Friday night in the Storm's overtime win over Dubuque. Koster netted the game winning goal in overtime to give Tri-City the win.
Goaltenders Jake Barczewski and Isaiah Saville each continued their great play this season, each recording wins for the Storm in goal over the weekend.
