Storm Set For Three-Game Weekend Against Stars

LINCOLN, NE - The Tri-City Storm is set for this weekend's three-game rivalry series against the Lincoln Stars to open play in the penultimate month of the regular season. The Storm will host the Stars for the final two games of this weekend's series following tonight's road game at the Ice Box. Tomorrow night's home game at the Viaero Center will serve as the Storm's annual Kool-Aid Night promotion, and will begin at 6:05pm CT. Sunday's game between Tri-City and Lincoln in Kearney is a rescheduled game from Thursday, January 11th, and will start at 4:05pm CT. All tickets purchased to the originally scheduled game will be honored for Sunday's game. Puck drops tonight at 7:05pm CT.

The Storm will wear specialty sweaters for tomorrow night's Kool-Aid Night promotion. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off following the matchup. A select number of Nebraska Lottery Rivalry Four-Packs will be available for tomorrow night's game. The pack includes four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, and ten Nebraska Lottery Scratch-Off Tickets for only $44. The ticket package is available in limited quantities, and often sells out prior to puck drop. Please contact the Viaero Center Box Office for the latest ticket information. Sunday's game will feature a special start time of 4:05pm CT, and will also include another Rivalry Four Pack ticket promotion. Two select Storm players will be available for autographs following the matchup.

Tri-City (22-15-4-4) has posted a 15-7-3-3 record against teams from the USHL's Western Conference this season, including a 2-1-0-2 record in head-to-head games played against in-state rival Lincoln. The Storm's most recent game was a 9-2 road victory on Saturday night at Liberty First Credit Union Arena over the organization's other in-state rival, the Omaha Lancers. Tri-City improved to 5-0-0-0 in head-to-head matchups against Omaha in the seven-goal road win. Scoring leaders for the Storm entering tonight's road game at the Ice Box include Trevor Connelly (21), Ryan Smith (19), and Cam Briere (16). The final game of the nine-game series will be played at the Ice Box on Saturday, March 30th.

Lincoln (20-21-1-2) split road games last weekend against Team USA. The Stars fell by a final score of 5-3 to the Under-18's of the United States National Team Development Program one week ago at USA Hockey Arena, and collected a 3-1 bounce-back victory on Saturday against the Under-17's. Lincoln has posted a 6-3-1-0 record over the past ten games, and enters this weekend's three-game rivalry series against Tri-City as the 6th place team in the Western Conference. Scoring leaders for the Stars include Keaton Peters (19), Blake Montgomery (17), and Jared Mangan (15).

Tonight's game is set to begin at 7:05pm CT and will be streamed on FloHockey and Storm Radio.
