GAME NOTES
Three Keys To The Game Presented By Nebraska Department Of Transportation
Key 1: Start the weekend strong
- The Stars are playing their fourth of sixth three games in three days stretches this weekend. Lincoln has won the first game of the weekend two-of-three times in these situations. This weekend has a playoff-like feel to it with three games in three days between two teams both in the playoff picture and the Stars are 3-2 against the Storm this season, with a pair of shootout victories giving Lincoln the edge in the season series.
Key 2: Win A Tight Battle
- Six of the Stars' last seven games have been decided by two goals or less. Lincoln is a combined 13-8-1-2 in those games, including a 7-4-1-2 mark in one-goal games. Tri-City has also regularly picked up at least one point in one-goal games, going 9-3-4-4 in those contests.
Key 3: Extend Peters Point Streak
- Stars forward Keaton Peters is red hot entering this weekend with a seven-game point streak and 11 points over that span. Peters' 19 goals lead the Stars and he is a goal away from becoming the 16th player in franchise history to score 40 career goals with the Stars. His 20th goal of the season would also mark the 64th time in franchise history that a Star has hit that total in a single season.
