Storm Set for Final Game of Road Trip

SIOUX FALLS, SD. - The Tri-City Storm is set for the final game of the team's current seven-game road trip tonight against the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Tri-City has posted a 2-1-1-2 record through the first six-games of its season-long road trip. The Storm will finally return home to the Viaero Center this weekend for three consecutive road games against Western Conference opponents. Tri-City will host the Des Moines Buccaneers Friday night at 7:05pm CT, and Saturday night at 6:05pm CT. The Storm will battle the Omaha Lancers at the Viaero Center on Sunday at 3:05pm CT to complete the three-game weekend. Puck drops tonight at 7:05pm CT.

Tri-City (17-12-2-4) split road games with the Madison Capitols last weekend at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena and the team enters tonight's road game as the 5th place team in the USHL's Western Conference standings. Cam Briere, Vladislav Lukashevich, Jake Rozzi, and Zach Bade all netted a goal for the Storm in the team's 4-1 victory over the Capitols Saturday night. Tri-City has won three of four games played against Sioux Falls to this point in the year's seven-game series. Tonight's matchup will be the Storm's final game at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center this season. Tri-City will host Sioux Falls for back-to-back games at the Viaero Center to close out the series on Friday, April 5th, and Saturday, April 6th. The Storm has posted a 23-7-1-1 record in head-to-head games over the past five seasons, including an 11-4-0-1 record in games played at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Brandt Harper netted the lone goal of the game in the Storm's previous trip to Sioux Falls in a 1-0 victory on Friday, October 13th, 2023. Scoring leaders for the Storm entering tonight's road game against the Stampede include Ryan Smith (14), Trevor Connelly (13), Cam Briere (12), August Falloon (11), Owen Beckner (10), Jake Rozzi (8), and Artemi Nizameyev (8).

Sioux Falls (20-15-3-1) has posted a 5-3-2-0 record over the past ten games, and has risen to 3rd place in the USHL's Western Conference standings. The Stampede returns home to host the Storm after splitting games against the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the 2024 edition of the USHL Frosty Cup at the Comerica Center, and the American Airlines Center, in Frisco, TX, and Dallas, TX. Each game ended in an overtime decision in the cross-conference series. Scoring leaders for the Stampede ahead of tonight's home game against the Storm include J.J. Wiebusch (19), Chris Pelosi (16), Tyler Borgula (16), Beckett Hendrickson (14), Jaksen Panzer (13), John McNelis (12), and Gennadi Chaly (11). Sioux Falls will return to action following tonight's game this weekend with two home games against the Fargo Force.
