Storm Look To Even Series Tuesday

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM will look to even their best of five NBL playoff series on Tuesday night at Credit Union Place at 7pm following a 114-112 lose to the Windsor Express in game 1 Sunday afternoon in Summerside before 1,530 fans.

After trailing 70-47 at halftime, the Express mounted a comeback led by a triple-double from Darren Duncan who scored 33 points to go along with 11 rebounds and 13 assists. Omari Johnson led the STORM attack with 19 points and 12 rebounds while Greg Plummer and Brandon Robinson each had 17 points. Josiah Turner also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists.

The afternoons 50-50 was won by Charles Keliher of Charlottetown who picked up half the total pot of $3,312. Ralph Wadman of Kensington won a prize from Subway, Maureen Gay of Summerside was a winner from Wilsons Fuels, Jonas Jackson and Clay Johnston won the Build a Sub game, and Matt Paupit threw a shot in from half court to win the Oval Restaurant prize.

The STORM are asking fans to bring a non-perishable food item to the game Tuesday night in aid of the Food Bank in Summerside as the stocks are running low and the Food Bank is in need.

STORM Tickets for Tuesdays game are on sale at the Credit Union Place Box Office Monday from 12noon to 8pm and Tuesday, game day, beginning at 9am. Fans can also purchase tickets online by going to the STORM website or by calling 902-432-1234.
