
Storm Holds Try-Out Camp in Minnesota

KEARNEY - Nebraska's Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League hosted their annual team try-out camp at the Bloomington Ice Garden in Bloomington, Minnesota over the weekend of May 30th-June 1st. The camp featured the Storm's top draft picks along with several returning veterans. Overall, seventy six players tried to make the team roster for the upcoming season. Assistant coach Tom Rudrud stated, "Overall, I think the camp went very well. We saw a lot of nice talent out of the young men that showed up this weekend. We were looking to shore up our defense and I believe that we did that." The list of players selected for the roster will be revealed at a later date. Players typically report to Kearney for practice in mid-September and opening weekend is slated for October 3rd. Full, half and ten-game ticket packages are on sale now.
