KEARNEY - Nebraska's Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League is proud to announce that forward Anthony DeCenzo has been selected to participate in the 2009 United States Hockey League Prospects/All-Star Game on February 4 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
DeCenzo, a 5'9", 165 lb forward from Hibbing, Minnesota, is currently leading the Storm in all scoring categories. DeCenzo has accumulated 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points on the year. DeCenzo has committed to play his college hockey at the University of Vermont.
Players were chosen for the rosters by a vote of the league's coaches. Coaches are not allowed to vote for players that are on their rosters. There is at least one player from every team in the USHL participating in this event.
"We think that we have a wonderful group of players selected to take part in this event," said USHL Executive Vice President Gino Gasparini. "There is a deep talent pool in the USHL this year and we're excited to see those that were chosen as the best of the group take part," Gasparini said.
