(Summerside, PE) Anthony Anderson scored 26 points to lead the Saint John Mill Rats to a 119-113 win over the Summerside STORM in front of 2,016 fans at Credit Union Place on Friday night in Summerside. Melvin Council and Joe Posey also added 22 each for the Mill Rats.
The STORM were led by newcomer Brandon Robinson who scored 20 points while Greg Plummer had 19 with Antonio Ballard and Ralphy Holmes each scoring 14. The STORM had an 85-79 lead after three quarters but the Mill Rats outscored the STORM 40 to 28 in the fourth quarter for the come from behind win.
David Boucher of Kensington, who was celebrating his birthday at the STORM game, was the winner of the 50/50 draw and took home half the total pot of $3,626.00. The night was also a tribute to Alan Jackson and Jeff McCourt was the winner of an Alan Jackson concert ticket for May 1st at Credit Union Place. Other prize winners on the night included Jennifer Aitkins who won the "Shoot To Win" contest and had her name entered for a chance to win a Southern vacation, Fred Biason won the Greco Pizza draw, while Brett Butler and Ryan Doucette each won a Subway card.
