Storm Complete Transaction with Lancers

Tri-City Storm News Release


Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm has completed a transaction with the Omaha Lancers prior to this week's three-game road series against the Fargo Force. Through the transaction, Tri-City has acquired multiple draft picks.

Tri-City has acquired a 2nd Round draft pick in the 2022 USHL Phase II Draft, a 4th Round draft pick in the 2021 USHL Phase II Draft, a 5th Round draft pick in the 2022 USHL Phase I Draft, and a 6th Round draft pick in the 2021 USHL Phase I Draft from the Omaha Lancers in exchange for forward Michael Posma, a 4th Round draft pick in the 2022 USHL Phase II Draft, an 8th Round draft pick in the 2022 USHL Phase I Draft, an 8th Round draft pick in the 2021 USHL Phase II Draft, and a 10th Round draft pick in the 2021 USHL Phase I Draft.

Michael Posma, 19, of Pomona, New York appeared in seven goals with Storm during the 2020-2021 regular season. He scored one goal and recorded two assists for three total points. He scored five goals and registered six assists for the Cedar Rapids in forty-three games played last season before being acquired by the Storm on September 21st in the 2020 USHL Dispersal Draft. Prior to joining the RoughRiders, he skated at the Kent School in Kent, Connecticut during the 2018-2019 season. He is also an alumnus of the North Jersey Avalanche AAA program in Hackensack, New Jersey. Posma previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at Boston College.

Following a 2-1 home win over the Sioux City Musketeers on Saturday, Tri-City returns to action on Thursday for the first game of a three-game road series against the Fargo Force. The Storm return home to the Viaero Center on January 22nd for a matchup against instate rival Lincoln.
