Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm has acquired multiple players through the 2020 USHL Dispersal Draft held earlier today. Tri-City made five selections to draft players whose rights were previously owned by the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Madison Capitols. The Storm selected forwards Nikolai Mayorov, Mike Posma, Ryan Taylor, Jordan Tonelli, and defenseman Maveric Lamoureux in today's USHL Dispersal Draft.

Nikolai Mayorov, 20, of Tyumen, Russia, was the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders leading scorer during the 2019-2020 season, netting twenty-four goals, and recording thirteen assists in thirty-nine games played. Prior to his debut in the USHL last season, Mayorov skated for Altay Ust-Kamenogorsk and Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk U20 in Kazakhstan during the 2018-2019 season.

Mike Posma, 18, of Pomona, New York scored five goals and registered six assists for the RoughRiders offense in forty-three games played last season. Prior to joining the RoughRiders, he skated at the Kent School in Kent, Connecticut during the 2018-2019 season. Posma previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at Boston College.

Ryan Taylor, 19, of St. Louis, Missouri appeared in twenty-three games last season with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders following fourteen games played for the Sioux City Musketeers. Taylor scored seven goals and recorded three assists during the 2019-2020 regular season. He also scored twelve goals and recorded twenty assists for the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL during the 2018-2019 season.

Jordan Tonelli, 20, of Armonk, New York scored nine goals and recorded twenty-six assists during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Tonelli served as the Captain for the RoughRiders last season and skated in ninety-five games for the RoughRiders over the past two seasons. Tonelli previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at Brown University.

Maveric Lamoureux, 16, of Hawkesbury, Ontario was the only defenseman selected by the Storm in today's draft. Lamoureux was selected in the 16th Round of the 2020 USHL Phase II Draft by the Madison Capitols. He scored two goals and recorded twelve assists last season for the Jonquière Élites of the QMAAA. He also scored five goals and recorded sixteen assists for the Eastern Ontario Wild U15 AAA program during the 2018-2019 season.

"It is an unfortunate day and situation when we temporarily lose two teams in the league, but we look at this as a late opportunity to add potential pieces and talent to our training camp and team this season. We were very happy with the results of today and we feel that we've made our club better, unfortunately at the expense of two other clubs." - General Manager Jason Koehler

The 2020 USHL Dispersal Draft was held as a result of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Madison Capitols electing to suspend on-ice operations and not participate in the 2020-2021 USHL season. Both teams have announced plans to resume play for the 2021-2022 USHL season. The Storm's schedule for the 2020-2021 season will be released in coordination with the USHL at a later date.
