After splitting four games with Lakeland over the weekend, the Stone Crabs begin a three-game series with the Fort Myers Miracle at 6:30 p.m. tonight. LHP Michael Plassmeyer makes the start for Charlotte, against RHP Jhoan Duran of the Miracle.

STONE CRABS SPLIT WITH LAKELAND

The Stone Crabs earned a four-game split with the Lakeland Flying Tigers over the weekend, getting nine strikeouts from Tommy Romero in Sunday's finale. On Tuesday, they begin a three-games series with the Fort Myers Miracle. The Stone Crabs hold a 7-6 advantage in what has been a very competitive season series.

WANDERING TO THE FSL

The top prospect in the sport is officially a Stone Crab. Shortstop Wander Franco has been assigned to Charlotte from Low-A Bowling Green. The 18-year-old phenom ranked second in the Midwest League in hitting, third in OPS, fourth in OBP and XBH, sixth in total bases and slugging and seventh in hits. In 123 career games, he's struck out a total of 39 times (two multi-K games).
