After squandering an eight-run lead Sunday, the Stone Crabs look to turn their fortunes Monday as they open a three-game series with the Bradenton Marauders at 6:35 p.m. Josh Fleming makes the start for Charlotte against Gavin Wallace of Bradenton.

GRAY HOMERS TWICE IN 14-9 LOSS

Tristan Gray delivered his first career multi-home run game Sunday, driving home a career-high seven runs in a 14-9 loss to Dunedin. Gray's seven RBIs was the most by a Stone Crab all season. Robbie Tenerowicz set a career high with four hits while Brendan McKay delivered his fourth home run. The Stone Crabs' pitching staff set season highs in runs allowed (14) and hits allowed (21). The Stone Crabs led 9-1 in the middle of the fifth inning before the Blue Jays struck for nine runs to take the lead, pulling away to win by five.

CLUTCH CRABS

The Stone Crabs continue to fare much better in close games lately than they did earlier in the season. The Stone Crabs entered June 9 with a 4-12 record in one-run games. Since then, they've gone 14-9 in games decided by two runs or less, walking off on their opponent five times.

RUN RIPPERS

The Stone Crabs own the best run differential by a large margin, indicating a potential uptick in the standings:

3 - Lakeland + 29

4 - Palm Beach +25

ABOVE THE FRAY

Stone Crabs outfielder Jake Fraley has done nothing but rake since coming off the DL on June 7. Prior to this weekend's series in Dunedin, Fraley was batting .500/.529/.761 with nine extra-base hits, 16 RBI, five stolen bases and only four strikeouts in 15 games since July 5. For the season, he was batting .463 with runners in scoring position.

DOUBLE DIPPING

The Stone Crabs have hit more doubles (229) than everyone else in the rest of the league by at least 40 (Dunedin - 189). Charlotte's 229 doubles puts them on a pace for 288, which would obliterate the franchise mark of 257 (2011). Tristan Gray is already well within the franchise's single-season leaders:
