Kyle Muller Promoted to Double-A Mississippi

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Atlanta Braves have announced the following roster moves that affect the Florida Fire Frogs roster prior to Monday's's game against the Palm Beach Cardinals:

Kyle Muller, LHP, has been transferred from Florida to Mississippi.

Connor Johstone, RHP, has been transferred from Mississippi to Florida.

Muller, 20, appeared in 14 games for Florida, going 4-2 with a 3.24 ERA (29er/80.2ip). The Dallas native struck out 79 in his time with the Fire Frogs, including a career-high 12 in seven frames against the Daytona Tortugas on July 9 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

The Braves' 11th-ranked prospect has not lost consecutive decisions this year, with his two losses coming on May 27 and July 20. The southpaw had season-high, four-game winning streak from June 9 - July 9.

Johnstone, 23, comes over from Mississippi after appearing in seven games (two starts) for the M-Braves. The Wake Forest product was 1-2, with an ERA of 3.00 for the Fire Frogs after being transferred to Mississippi on July 12.

In his time at the Double-A level, Johnstone did not post a record, but had an ERA of just 3.12 (6er/17.1ip) on 18 hits, eight walks and 12 strikeouts.

Johnstone takes the mound in the opener against the Palm Beach Cardinals on Monday night at Osceola County Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:31 p.m., with coverage beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the Florida Fire Frogs Pre-game Show on the Florida Fire Frogs Broadcasting Network.
