After three straight one-run games in Port St. Lucie, the Stone Crabs return home to Charlotte Sports Park Friday for a 7-game homestand. Organization strikeout leader Joe Ryan makes the start for Charlotte, against Graham Spraker of the Dunedin Blue Jays.

METS STUN STONE CRABS 9-8 THURSDAY

The Stone Crabs scored six runs in the first inning Thursday, but the St. Lucie Mets rallied to tie the game 6-6 and 8-8. Manny Rodriguez delivered a walk-off single in the ninth inning to help the Mets salvage the series finale and trim Charlotte's lead in the division to four games. Moises Gomez hit his team-leading 10th home run in the loss, while Kaleo Johnson connected on his first.The Crabs' six-run lead was the largest they've surrendedrered in a loss this year.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST

The Stone Crabs have gone 22-6 to start the second half, by far the best start to a half in franchise history. Amongst the eight leagues that use split seasons in Minor League Baseball, Charlotte boasts the BEST 2nd half record:

CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW?

The Dunedin Blue Jays visit Charlotte Sports Park for a three-game set this weekend, in a matchup that features the two best overall and second half records in the Florida State League. The Jays' lineup has remained in tact all season, with nine players logging over 50 games played (7 players over 70). Dunedin leads the FSL in runs (458), batting average (.253), OBP (.343) and OPS (.719). The Jays lineup features the FSL RBI leader (Ryan Noda, 55) and three of the top five on-base threats (Noda, Stevenson, Large).

STREAK FOR THE AGES

After losing to the Tarpons 6-4 on Saturday, the Stone Crabs completed the longest winning streak in franchise history:

The Stone Crabs have held a massive advantage in the running game this season, stealing 26 more bases than every other team in the circuit. They've also shut down the opposition's running game:
