
Stingrays Unveil 2012-13 Promotional Schedule

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League, announced today their 2012-13 promotional schedule.
The 20th season of hockey in the Lowcountry kicks off with Opening Night on Saturday, October 13 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. Arrive early for a 20th anniversary celebration and pregame Stingrays alumni game at 2:00 p.m. Admission and parking is free. SuperFan Cameron Hughes performs all night.
The Stingrays salute our nation's military on Saturday, October 20 with Military Appreciation Night presented by General Dynamics featuring stars and stripes Stingrays jerseys and auction and an appearance from WWE legend Sgt. Slaughter, Ft. Jackson Holiday Holdover Troops Night on Saturday, December 29 and Wounded Warrior Night presented by SAIC on Saturday, January 19 with Stingrays/US0/SAIC Snuggie giveaway.
One lucky fan will win a diamond on Saturday, November 17 during Harrison Newsome Jewelers' Diamond Giveaway. Help the Stingrays set a new world record with the most high-fives and go green on Saturday, December 1 with Go Green Night presented by Charleston County Environmental Management and National High-Five Day.
Celebrate your alma mater on College Pride Night, Friday, December 7. The Stingrays will wear special University of South Carolina jerseys. Spend a night on the red carpet with Cinnebarre's Night at the Movies with Hollywood Stars on Saturday, February 9.
The 2012-13 season continues a strong tradition of fundraising and community involvement with the return of Teddy Bear Toss for Debi's Kids on Saturday, December 8, Toys for Tots presented by Count on News 2 on Saturday, December 15, Epilepsy Awareness Night on Friday, January 18, and the Seventh Annual Pink in the Rink benefiting the Susan G. Komen Lowcountry foundation on Saturday, February 23.
Pack the House Night, where all tickets are $5, returns on Saturday, January 26 with the world-famous Zooperstars performing! Free Parking nights highlight six dates during the 2012-13 schedule: October 13, November 17, December 8, January 26, February 23 and March 22.
The Stingrays wrap up the season with Fan Appreciation Night and The Post and Courier Hall of Fame Night on Saturday, March 22.
Fans can enjoy Hockey Happy Hour with $2 beer from 6-7 p.m. before every home game and every weekday game this season features two for one tickets. College students can come to any regular-season home game for only $5 with valid student I.D. For every Friday home game, fans can grab four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and large popcorn for $55 with the Stingrays Family Four Pack. Sundays mean the return of Kid's Day featuring $5.00 kid's tickets and meals and Skate with the Rays and Postgame Autographs.
