
Stingrays to Announce Third Head Coach Tomorrow

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC The South Carolina Stingrays will hold a press conference tomorrow afternoon at Sticky Fingers in North Charleston to announce the third Head Coach in franchise history. The press conference will take place at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon. The public is welcome to attend.
The team has had just two Head Coaches its history. Rick Vaive coached the Stingrays for five seasons from 1993 to 1998. Vaive had a career record of 201-105-40, never missed the post season and led the Rays to a Kelly Cup Championship in 1996-97. Rick Adduono led South Carolina for four seasons from 1998-2002. He helped the Rays in to the post season in each of his four seasons at the helm and had a career regular season record of 156-94-34. In 2001, Adduono helped the Stingrays to the team's second Kelly Cup Title.
The Stingrays will open up their tenth anniversary season this October at the North Charleston Coliseum. Season Tickets are available for Stingrays Hockey by calling 744-2248.
