Stingrays Playoff Game Preview: Stingrays Carry Momentum into Game 2 against Royals Tonight

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays take on the Reading Royals in Game 2 of the East Division Semifinals tonight at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum. The Stingrays lead the best-of-seven series 1-0.

Game 1 Recap:

The Stingrays' power play shined bright in Game 1, going 2-for-6 against the Royals. Forward Joe Devin capitalized on the man advantage early in the second period for a 1-0 Stingrays lead and defenseman Frankie Simonelli buried the game-winning maker with the extra skater 7:21 into double overtime. The Royals jumped on the score sheet late in the second period off a tally from defenseman Maxim Lamarche. Box Score

Snapping the Skid:

The Stingrays' win last night snapped the second longest postseason losing streak in ECHL history (9 games: 1 game vs. Kalamazoo in 2012, 4 games vs. Gwinnett in 2013, 4 games vs. Wheeling in 2014) with their last playoff win coming on April 20, 2012 against Kalamazoo
