
Stingrays Force a Game 7 on Sunday in Allen

Charleston, SC - The Allen Americans and South Carolina Stingrays faced off Wednesday evening at the North Charleston Coliseum, where the Stingrays were battling for their playoff lives, down 3-2 in the series.
The Rays scored the lone goal of the opening period when Marcus Perrier lit the lamp at the 8:59 mark with South Carolina outshooting Allen 11-8 for the period.
South Carolina added two more in the middle frame from Joe Devin and Frankie Simonelli to extend their lead to 3-0 before the second intermission while shots were even in the period at 10 apiece.
The Americans finally got on the board early in the third period when Vincent Arseneau swatted his 5thof the post-season into the net at 4:07, cutting the Rays lead to 3-1. Carolina connected on a late power play goal from Joe Devin at 18:15 giving South Carolina the 4-1 win, forcing the deciding game seven.
The series now moves back to Allen where the clubs will meet for game seven on Sunday afternoon at the Allen Event Center. The puck drop is scheduled for 4:05PM CST.
