ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Travis Jeke took a pass from Scott Tanski after an Aces turnover and fired a one-timer into the net that proved to be the game winner in South Carolina's 3-1 victory over Alaska Tuesday night.

The exhibition win was the Stingrays second over the Aces after Monday night's 4-3 overtime win.

South Carolina opened the scoring at 4:24 of the first period. In a scramble near the Aces net, Patrick Gaul found a loose puck and tucked it into the Alaska net with Aces goaltender Lukas Hafner down and out of position to stop the shot.

Jeke's goal came at the 13:17 mark. The Aces had a tough time below the goalline in their own end, and Tanski quickly slid the stolen puck to the deep slot where Jeke wound and fired for his first goal in two games.

After a scoreless second period, Rob Flick made it 3-0 from Olivier Archambault and Steve Weinstein at 12:18 of the third.

Ben Lake ruined Stingray goaltender Adam Carlson's shutout at 18:10, smacking in a rebound of a Marc-Andre Levesque shot for his second goal in two days. Ryan Trenz also got a helper.

Alaska outshot South Carolina 36-28 for the game. Carlson had 27 saves, Hafner 33.

The two teams will play again Thursday night at 7:15 at the Sullivan Arena to complete the three-game exhibition series.
