Stingers Split Series with Bismarck, Lose Game Two

Bismarck, N.D. - After taking game one in Bismarck on Tuesday night, the Willmar Stingers could not take game two on Wednesday, falling 14-7.

Willmar did score seven runs, in big part to RBI hits from Jayson Newman (Cal State-Northridge), Davis Elliot (North Alabama), Keanu Dizor (San Diego Mesa) and Nic Hernandez (Cal Poly Pomona). Hernandez in fact went 3-4 on the night with a triple, an RBI and a run.

Willmar overall compiled 11 base hits while Bismarck was able to get 17.

Willmar will look to rebound on Wednesday, back home at Bill Taunton Stadium.
