
Steward Returns to Oilers

The Tulsa Oilers are bringing back a popular player from their 2004-05 playoff season, as forward Dallas Steward has signed with the Oilers for the 2009-10 Central Hockey League season. Steward will be in his second tour of duty with the Oilers. He spent his rookie campaign in Tulsa in 04-05. "He brings all of the attributes fans love to watch and everyone likes to play with," Oilers coach Bruce Ramsay said. "He's the consummate professional on and off the ice. He makes other players better with the energy he brings." Steward split last season between Augusta of the ECHL and the CHL's Mississippi RiverKings. In a total of 61 games the 5-foot-6, 180-pounder had 13 goals and 27 assists for 40 points and 74 penalty minutes. In his CHL stint last season, he amassed 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points and was a +14 in 43 games. He added eight assists and +1 in 11 playoff games.
