
Steemwheelers introduce student discount

March 14, 2006, (Davenport, IA) - The Quad City Steamwheelers announced today that they will be offering a $3.00 discount for all students purchasing regularly priced, single game tickets. Students must show a valid high school or college ID to receive the discount. The news came as part of a larger announcement that single game tickets will go on sale at The MARK of the Quad Cities box office and Ticketmaster outlets on Monday, March 20. "The Steamwheelers believe in providing quality family entertainment at an affordable price," said Larry Bush, the majority partner/operator of the Quad City Steamwheelers. "With our student discount offer as well as our half-off price for children 14 and under, we believe that we are positioned to provide a quality, exciting entertainment choice at an unbeatable price for those in the Quad Cities and surrounding areas."
Students wishing to take advantage of the $3 student discount must show a valid high school or college ID at The MARK box office when purchasing regularly priced tickets. The discount is only good for one Upper Deck ticket per ID and is not valid with any other offer.
Single Game Tickets Go On Sale On Monday, March 20, at 10:00 a.m. single game tickets for all eight regular season home games will go on sale at The MARK of the Quad Cities box office. Tickets will also go on sell at all Ticketmaster outlets, their website (www.ticketmaster.com) or Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at (563) 326-1111. Single game ticket prices start as low as $13.00 for adults and $6.50 for youths 2-14.
The Steamwheelers play home games on Othropaedic Specialists Field at The MARK of the Quad Cities starting on Friday, March 31, 2006.
