
SteelHounds Bring Home Several Honors in CHL Best of the Best Poll

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League (CHL), announced today the final results of the league's annual âBest of the Best" poll. The poll was tabulated by a points system from results of ballots turned in by each team's coach, players and broadcast/media contact.
The SteelHounds were third earning representation in 12 of 40 possible categories. Colorado led the way with 15 and Amarillo was second with 14.
Jeff Christian earned one of the top three ranks in four categories including Best Overall Player (third), Smartest Player (second), Best on Power Play (second) and Best Power Forward (second).
Chris Richards was the only SteelHound to earn a first place ranking as he was voted Best Player on Face-Offs and also finished second Best Playmaker.
Elements of the SteelHounds game night presentation earned recognition as Crusher was voted the third Best Mascot, Hunter Quinn of Hot 101 was voted the third Best PA Announcer and the Lady SteelHounds were voted the third Best Cheerleaders.
The "Voice of the SteelHounds" Bob Hoffman was voted the second Best Broadcaster and the team's uniforms and logo earned recognition finishing third in each respective category.
