
SteelHounds acquire Jeff Alcombrack from Austin

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - Youngstown SteelHounds Head Coach, J F Laforest, announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Jeff Alcombrack from the Austin Ice Bats in exchange for future considerations. The defenseman will join the SteelHounds in time for Friday's game at Memphis.
Alcombrack, 25, has played 170 career CHL games seeing action with Memphis, New Mexico, Odessa and Austin. His most recent stop in Austin provided his best numbers as he scored seven goals with 14 assists for 21 points in 33 games. His career numbers see him with 54 points (15-39 - 54) and 84 penalty minutes.
The Kincardine, Ontario native becomes the second player acquired by Youngstown from Austin joining Chris Richards whom Alcombrack played with in both Austin and New Mexico.
