Gary, IN: The Steelheads traveled to Great Lakes to take on the Storm tonight, riding a two game winning streak. Unfortunately for the Steelheads that streak would end tonight as the Storm defeated the Steelheads 109-93.
The Steelheads started out slow against the Storm, losing the first quarter, 32-27. Lonnie Jones had a huge 1st quarter scoring 16 points. The Steelheads turned things around in the 2nd quarter. A late 10-0 run by the Steelheads enabled them to steal the quarter 21-18, and the Steelheads trailed at the half 50-48. That was as close as the Steelheads would get as they lost the 3rd quarter 33-20 and the fourth quarter 26-23, losing 109-93. The Steelheads managed to capture 1 quarter point in the loss.
Leading the way for the Steelheads was Lonnie Jones with 24 points. David Graves had 21 points and Jemeil Rich had 16 points and 10 assists. Mark Jones was the high man for the Storm with a game high 32 points.
