
Steelheads Search for In-Stand Host

Brampton Steelheads News Release
The Mississauga Steelheads are looking for a new In-Stand Host for the upcoming season! The in-stand host is responsible for interacting with and exciting fans at every Steelheads home game at the Hershey Centre. The host typically welcomes the crowd to the game, leads several sponsored promotions and intermission activations, makes special announcements, and interviews special guests and contestants throughout the game. The host will also work other team events at the Hershey Centre throughout the season, with the opportunity to run school assemblies and attend various other player/mascot appearances.
The Perfect Candidate:
Has a background or experience in radio/television broadcasting
Has a great personality, and loves being in front of the camera
Is engaging, charismatic, and well-spoken
Has the ability to improvise on the spot and can react well to unexpected situations
Is available to work nights and weekends during Steelheads home games
Must be comfortable delivering short scripted elements on camera including sponsored announcements
Has a social media presence on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
Loves hockey and is passionate about the Mississauga Steelheads and Ontario Hockey League

Applicants must be 18 years or older in order to apply. Successful applicants will be selected and notified by Friday, August 28th via e-mail or phone. Only chosen, successful applicants will be invited and asked to move forward in the application process.
